Suspension, of examination and issuance of pending renewal applications and submission of renewal applications for residence permits of Russian/Belarus citizens, is lifted. However, the suspension of submission and approval of new residence permit applications is maintained until further notice.
By decision of the Minister of Migration and Asylum, Mr Notis Mitarakis, the suspension of the examination and issuance of decisions on pending applications for renewal of residence permits under articles 16 and 20B of Law 4251/2014 submitted by Russian/Belarus citizens, including their family members, is lifted.
In addition, the submission of new applications for granting residence permits and renewal applications by Russian/Belarus citizens falling under the category of “business executives” under Article 17 of Law 4251/2014 is also lifted.
However, the suspension of submission and approval of new residence permit applications for initial granting under articles 16 and 20B of law 4251/2014 by Russian/ Belarus citizens including their family members, and for investment certification applications, is not lifted and is still maintained until further notice.
Important note/Exemption: Russian/Belarus citizens who are members of a family of a Greek citizen or another EU citizen, as well as citizens of the Russian Federation or Belarus who are family members of third-country nationals residing legally in Greece, are exempted from this suspension.
